Sour and sweet combo

Pricey for what you get, but they are pretty sweeeet. So to speak.Youngest son doesn't like them - too sour for him, but teenage brother and Mum (me!) are perfectly happy with both the cola flavour and the sour taste. Easy enough to open for most ages too.Sultanas and cranberries, covered in flavouring. The branding is great for Halloween, we've had the Zombie brand before and enjoyed. Small snack-size packs suitable for lunchboxes/trick or treat purposes (hygiene). Fruit is sparse in there, but small portions are ideal.Fruit is good quality, not dried out, still juicy. No unpleasant after-taste. Ingredients seem mixed, there may not be added sugar but of course there are ingredients here that sound like artifical added ones for sweets, these aren't a health food.Fun looking brand, very tasty, great for snack sized sharing.

Delicious cola flavour, and actually healthy too

I've got their dates at home, and they're always delicious and pretty healthy. These cola sours are no exception. They're not as sour as some, but there's certainly enough to tick that box, and the cola flavour is spot on.What really sets them apart is what's inside (and what isn't). They're made from dried cranberries and sultanas with no added sugar, low calorie, low fat, palm oil free, and nothing artificial – no nasties, no preservatives. They're also vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, and school compliant, so they're genuinely a snack you can feel good about eating. The bags are only 20g, but honestly that feels about right – the intensity of the sour coating means that's roughly how much you'd want in one go anyway. You get 20 in a box too, which makes it pretty good value.Would happily rebuy. If you like cola-flavoured sweets but want something less guilty, give these a try.

Is This A Trick? No It's A Treat! A Definite Taste Of Sour Cola From These

I don't quite know the spooky magic that is involved, but these cranberries and sultanas do taste of sour cola. The bags are presented in a nicely themed box and my kids commented on how much they like the look. Each individual bag is easy to open and there is a good handful of fruit inside, (I want to call them sweets, even though they are clearly not). There is white sugar-like dusting to them and as I mentioned at the start, eating them tastes of sour cola.I really liked them and I'm not the biggest sultana fan. Most importantly my kids liked them and quite how any trick-or-treaters will respond to getting a bag of "fruit", instead of sweets or chocolate, I'm still unsure. However, even ignoring Halloween, these bags make a great addition to packed lunches or if you need a snack when out and about.

Delicious and relatively nutritious dried fruit healthy snack

These are lovely. This is a box containg 20 bags of fruit snacks. They seem to be predominantly cranberries & raisins dusted in that sort of sour Coca-Cola bottle sugary coating. They are great in lunchboxes or as a quick snack while you’re feeling a bit peckish and you’re trying to stay healthy, even though they’re coated in sugar. It’s more like dusting so you’re still not totally ruining any nutritional value from the dried fruit itself.Works out about £.80 a bag which I think is spot on. I think these will be making a re-purchased soon.

Tasty and pretty healthy. Not super sour, but enough to satisfy.

I am a big fan of Zombie's stuff. I've have the fruit bars and the dates and they are always delicious and pretty healthy. These cola sours are no exception. They are not as sour as some, but certainly plenty to tick the box, and the cola flavour is spot on.They are made from dried cranberries and raisins with no added sugar and minimal ingredients generally, so they are a pretty healthy snack. The bags are only 20g but the intensity of the sour flavour means they are about right for how much you'd want in one go.You get 20 in a box which is pretty good value too.

Tasty and fun!

These went down really well with the kids! I like that they’re individually packed, so they’re really handy for lunchboxes or little snacks. The sour flavour is nice without being too much, and the Halloween/zombie theme makes them a bit more exciting than your usual dried fruit. The packaging is really fun too, and it’s great having a snack that feels like a treat but is actually fruit. Would definitely buy these again! And they are VEGAN! 👻💚

Cola Zing, but a Raisin Finish

The children are allowed to take a snack into school with them, but they are often on the boring side. These 'Zombie Real Fruit Sours' are something that are healthy, but are cooler, both in design and flavour. They are the type of dried fruit that my children have been eating for years, but with a sour cola touch and a cool bag.The ingredients are mostly fruit so suitable for a pack lunch. I did have a bit of a problem getting my head around a sour cola taste morphing into a raisin aftertaste, but the kids like them. The packets are easy to open and at 80p they are good quality.

Really nice alternative to normal sweets

These are actually really nice. The cola flavour comes through well and they’ve got a decent sour kick without being ridiculously sharp.I like that they’re made from raisins and dried cranberries rather than just being another bag of sweets, and the fact there’s no added sugar is a big plus. They still feel like a proper little treat though, which is the important bit.The individual 20g bags are really handy for lunchboxes, taking out with you or just stopping yourself eating the whole lot in one go.A really good little snack for both kids and adults, especially if you want something sweet and sour without going straight for normal sweets.

Another quality product

We've had quite a few of this companies products over there last year so I've been very impressed with them indeed. I wasn't sure that's the branding at first as it looked a little lighthearted but it's what you eat that counts and that's really good. They're pretty much guilt free as well. They don't have any added sugar, and made from real fruit naturally and add up to be one of your five a day.The packaging is recyclable, looks great and they are a carbon neutral business. They're also suitable for vegans and gluten-free so fit for most diets. Importantly, they taste great as well so I'm happy to recommend them.

A great combo

There cola-flavoured sours are surprisingly good. Surprising because I figured that cranberries and raisins don't need messing with, but the cola flavouring is SO good that it works. The bags are small, at 20g each, and are lunchbox items really, but they are useful in my backpack on walks and there are a couple in the car for snacking emergencies. My instinct was that this would have unnecessary sugar in them, but they use erythritol, which is natural but almost calorie-free.The eating experience is a serious sour hit, like sour sweets, then the cola flavour and finally it moves onto the sweet crans and raisins.I have also tried the Zombuie sour cola dates, and I think they are slightly better as the fruit-to-coating ratio is much higher. With these the flavouring is 80% of the experience, whereas with the dates it is more like 50%.They are still worth buying though, and although the branding and packaging is clearly aimed at children, not adults, both adults in this household really like them.

Super sour

These cola fruit sours from Zombie are super intensely sour; coming from someone who adores sour sweets they are absolutely lovely by sour enough not to be moreish over one pack at a time. They’re dried cranberries and raisins that have their sour coating which is more dusting than coating. They’re absolutely delicious and have no added sugar which is great. As mentioned, they’re almost too sour to want more than one pack at a time but that makes them an even better ideal for either snacking as it gives me the chance to have something without the risk of indulging or pack lunches.

Very sour

I was a little unsure about these, because I don't actually like cranberries and I am not overly fond of raisins either, truth be told. That said though, you can't actually taste them because the sour cola is just so over powering. Which is probably a good thing to some and a bad thing to others, depending on your preferences. If you are the kind of person that loves sour sweets, you'll probably love these. If you are a little unsure about sour sweets, I'd probably skip these and get something a little more mild.As for the target audience, kids, I think these will be great. You still have a bit of a texture to deal with since cranberries and raisins definitely have a different texture to sweets. But the taste side of things I think will instantly win a lot of kids over. And when you look at the ingredients and calories these are definitely a much better alternative for kids to be eating. The price is actually somewhat reasonable too, since you get 20 packs in this, and if you give them one day school day its basically a months supply then.

Decent

Zombie Real Fruit Sours, Cola, Healthy Halloween Snacks, 20 x 20g BagsHealthy Raisins and Dried Cranberries, Lunchbox Snacks, Kids and Adults, No Added Sugar, Vegan, Gluten Free, Nut Free, HalalI'm not a huge fan of raisins in all honesty but I think are pretty overpowering flavour wise that you hardly notice that they're there. I think the flavours weren't my cup of tea but then I appreciate that these are healthy snacks and kids to love them. At c.£15 they are a little steep but you do get 20 in a pack, i'm still not convinced that these are value for money but then on the other end I've seen some of these products in supermarkets and seen what they cost. Overall not bad, good quality but a little pricey

Nicer than expected

Wasn't sure what to expect from these, but was pleasantly surprised. I'm not a big cranberry fan, but to be honest I could only taste raisins in them. I suppose that they are an acquired taste - my wife was not so keen, but I actually like them. Very pleased with them overall.

OK, but not great

I've tried other 'Zombie' snacks, and enjoyed them, so I was looking forward to trying these cola sours. I'm frankly quite disappointed. They have an odd flavour that only has a hint of cola about them. And they're barely sour at all. I know I like sour sweets that really make you wince, but I could east a whole packet in one go without any effect. They're also advertised as 'no added sugar', yet they're around 70% carbs, so if you have a card restrictive diet like I do then they're not really appropriate.OK, but be sure to temper your expectations.

nice flavour

Initially I thought they were sour gummies but they are actually sultanas and cranberries in sour coating. Very nice and sweet.

Interesting concept! Good energy boost for hikes.

Quite an interesting idea and definitely makes a change from ordinary dried fruit snacks. Inside the bags are little raisins and cranberries coated in semi-sour crystals with a distinct cola flavour. It genuinely feels like eating sweets when you first pop them in your mouth though you still get that unmistakable raisin and cranberry chewiness once you get into it.The cola flavour comes through quite strong right at the start before gradually dropping off as you chew through the fruit. Having 20 individual little packs makes them dead easy to chuck into lunchboxes or take along on a hike for a quick energy boost. It definitely hits that craving for proper confectionery while being a much healthier alternative to typical sugary sweets.Overall they make a tasty little bite and offer something genuinely different from standard dried fruit snacks. Having twenty pouches in the box means you get plenty of mileage out of them and they feel like decent value for money for a healthier treat.
